Our telescoping lids are handcrafted with select 3/4” pine and 1/4” plywood. We use rabbeted joints assembled with Titebond III and medium crown staples for the 2” rim, glue and staple the plywood into a rabbet and attach the aluminum cover with stainless steel staples for rust-free service.
