We start with a 3 5\/8\" tall HDO rim with 3\/8\" plywood glued in a dado in the middle.  Above the plywood is a 1.5\" thick sheet of XPS foam insulation board and below the plywood is a piece of 5mm closed cell foam radiant barrier, not cheap double bubble. Below the radiant barrier is a void about 1.5\" tall that allows room for feeding whether dry sugar, fondant, patties or baggies. The 1.5\" XPS foam insulation board is R-7.5 and the closed cell foam radiant barrier is R-15 for a total of R-22.5.
