Our wax dipped 10 frame reversible bottom board is handcrafted from pine and allows for a 3/4” entrance on one side and 3/8” entrance on the other. End cleats are glued and stapled and rails are glued and screwed. We then submerge these in 300 degree wax for 10 minutes to boil out moisture and impregnate the wood and joints with wax, protecting it from the elements for many years to come.
Why Beekeepers Choose Wax-Dipped
Wax dipped equipment is ready to use requiring no painting, reduces long-term upkeep and provides a protective seal that penetrates deep into the wood grain and into the joints. The result is woodenware built to resist cracking, warping, and breakdown over years of exposure.
