Wax Dipped Swarm Trap
Couldn't load pickup availability
Our wax dipped swarm traps are constructed of quality 5/8” sanded pine plywood, not inexpensive sheathing, with fully rabbeted joints assembled with lots of wood glue and staples. These can be added to any pre order for the Big Bee Buzz or OSBA Spring Conference pickups.
- 5/8” sanded plywood construction
- ~49 liter volume based on Dr Tom Seeley’s research
- Two Lorob Bees entrance dials, one high and one low, allow for flexibility of use as well as ventilation during transport
- Telescoping lid to ensure trap stays dry
- Heavy duty folding handles on each end allow for easy handling of the trap as well as additional strapping points
- Mounting blocks on each side allow for easy and secure strapping and are thicker than the lid so whatever the trap is strapped to does not interfere with the lid
- Fits up to six frames
- Wax dipped for many years of service
